The Grand Canyon has an interesteing biological phenomenon we all learned about in school - the squirrels.  On both rims are squirrels from the same family, but each unique to the separate rims of the canyon.  The Sciurus squirrels, each the same have evolved into separate specimines- on the North rim, the Kaibab, and on the south rim, Abert's.

I saw this little guy looking for a morsel on the south rim trail.
