Sunrise was nice, although it was overcast in the morning.
I actually hiked down into the canyon for about a mile, and had a hard
enough time just getting back on the rim from that- let ALONE going all
the way down, and all the way back up. I am just not in good enough
shape for that. I think i would have had a stroke or died of exertion
on the way back up. My dead, mountain lion chewed carcass discovered
later by unsuspecting mountain men who know how to hike for real...
Drama aside, here are some shots for you to enjoy. There is no "good"
picture of the Canyon, it's impossible to get it in a picture with any
real depth and great color. So, you'll all just have to venture yourselves
sometime in the future for a real look.
